Learn more about GRASTEK

Although you may not be thinking about grass allergies or experiencing any grass allergy symptoms, the best time to start talking to your allergy specialist about GRASTEK is at least a few months before grass allergy season starts. Starting treatment early may give your body time to become less sensitive in preparation for the grass pollen season.

GRASTEK is taken for about 12 weeks before the grass pollen season and throughout the grass pollen season. GRASTEK may also be taken daily for 3 years to provide a sustained effect for a fourth year in which you do not have to take GRASTEK.

GRASTEK is NOT a medication that gives immediate relief of symptoms of grass allergy.

GRASTEK® Timothy Grass Pollen Allergen Extract Tablet for Sublingual Use

Tablet Not Actual Size

GRASTEK is grass allergy immunotherapy in a tablet

Instead of a shot, GRASTEK is a once-a-day tablet that dissolves quickly when placed under the tongue. After taking it, don’t swallow for at least 1 minute. GRASTEK is made from small amounts of natural Timothy grass pollen and may help you gradually build tolerance so you become less sensitive to grass pollen.

GRASTEK® (Timothy Grass Pollen Allergen Extract) is a daily dose of immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is designed to repeatedly expose your body to small amounts of an allergen. That’s why it’s important to take GRASTEK every day, as your allergy specialist prescribes, even when you don’t have symptoms.

Taking the first tablet in your allergy specialist’s office

The first dose of GRASTEK must be taken in the allergy specialist’s office. After taking the first dose, you or your child will be observed for at least 30 minutes by a healthcare professional for symptoms of a serious allergic reaction. If the first dose is well tolerated, you can continue to take your GRASTEK once a day at home. Children should always take GRASTEK under the supervision of an adult.
